CKSG and CKDG detuned reactors are designed for capacitor bank and power factor correction systems. They limit capacitor inrush current, reduce harmonic amplification and support 7% or 14% tuning configurations.

How to Select a Detuned Reactor
  • Confirm system voltage and frequency.
  • Confirm the matched capacitor voltage and kvar rating.
  • Select three-phase or single-phase construction.
  • Review the measured harmonic spectrum.
  • Select a suitable reactance rate, such as 7% or 14%.
  • Confirm tuning frequency, inductance and installation conditions.
